Riesling 2025
94 points. A lovely release with floral-edged aromas of citrus blossoms, lemons, white flowers, lanolin and pears. The palate is textural, with great fruit density and vibrant acidity that carries both weight and a mineral-edged backbone without being too broad. Nicely constructed, with a few grams of sugar bringing balance to the acidity. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Sauvignon Blanc 2025
94 points.
Lovely and generous, with aromas of citrus blossoms, yellow apples, crushed stones, white flowers and mandarins. The palate is mid-weighted with a rounded texture and bright acidity, showing a nice phenolic grip and a leesy Asian pear finish. More old world than previous years, yet still very varietal. Drink now. Screw cap.
Chardonnay 2024
95 points. Expressive and powerful, with aromas of preserved lemons, grapefruit, pastry, salted nuts and spices. The palate is textural and rounded, with balanced acidity leading into a creamy, lanolin-edged mouthfeel. Concentrated fruit, yet plenty of balance. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
SRH Chardonnay 2024
96 points. Bright and mineral, with a core of fruit. Aromas of lemon confit, grapefruit and crushed stones, with a smoky undertone. The palate is tightly wound, with bright acidity cutting through a textural, creamy mouthfeel that carries length, weight and freshness. Made from a selection of 12 rows planted in 1976, showing clear old-vine character. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Winery Block Chardonnay 2024
96 points. The premier release of this wine, from vines planted in 1981 to clone P58. Aromas of lemon confit, struck matches, grilled citrus, grapefruit, salted nuts, sea spray and white flowers. The palate is textural, with a fine line of acidity and layers of complex, densely packed fruit around a mineral core. Great tension and purity, with a fine backbone for aging. Excellent. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Grigsby Chardonnay 2024
96 points. A lovely mineral tension lies beneath layers of citrus confit, lanolin, white flowers, flint and orange peel. The palate has a fine line of acidity, with textural weight and a mineral undertone that cuts through the rounded mouthfeel. Made from a close-planted block of Bernard clone 76, 8,300 vines per hectare. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Pinot Noir 2024
95 points. Savory-edged, with earthiness driven by aromas of black fruits, licorice, salt-cured meats, damp earth and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied, with generous texture and finely tuned tannins. The finish is plush with a mineral edge. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
De La Terre Pinot Noir 2024
95 points. Sitting on the edge of reduction, with an earth-driven focus and aromas of dried black fruits, smoked bark, cured meats, damp organic soils and burnt orange peel. The palate is finely tuned, with an herbal edge, fine-boned tannins and bright acidity. Nicely constructed. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Olive Tree Hill Pinot Noir 2024
96 points. A floral and herbal edge underlies wet earth and dried flowers. The palate is refined and pure, with a lovely blue-fruited tone and fresh plushness carried by fine tannins and bright acidity. This will evolve and open nicely in the bottle. Delicious. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Serré Pinot Noir 2024
96 points.
Dark-fruited aromas with underlying notes of dried flowers and herbs, cured meats, wet earth and plum skins. The palate is mid-weighted, with finely tuned tannins and a plush, rounded mouthfeel, finishing with a mineral edge. A touch of reduction now, but will open with time in the bottle. Delicious. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Shiraz 2023
95 points. Vibrant and lifted aromas of black and red fruits, with an earthy undertone carrying notes of herbs, cracked pepper, olives and charcuterie. The palate is medium-bodied, with finely tuned tannins and a plush, textural mouthfeel. From a cool vintage, this has plenty of lift and freshness, with a savory backbone. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Shiraz 2011
94 points. This is a real curio and a re-release from a cool, wet vintage that is starting to evolve and show interesting character. Aromas of dried black fruits, coffee beans, toffee apples, salted nuts, leather and terra cotta. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins and bright acidity, giving an earthy, bitter liqueur-edged finish. Drink now — you’ll be surprised and delighted. Screw cap.
