Viticulture

1314 Rosé is made from a blend of estate Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot grown on our established vineyards, planted in 1981.

Winemaking

Handpicked fruit was whole bunch pressed, settled over night, and racked to tank for temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. After fermentation the wine was racked to a combination of stainless steel and old barrels for a 3-month maturation on lees prior to bottling.

Tasting Note

1314 Rosé 2025 is bright and lively, with a generous core of jubey red fruits and a gentle savoury touch. Aromas of raspberries, pear drops, citrus and bramble lead into a fresh, textured palate of red apple skin and spicy, forest fruits. A subtle herbal note adds lift and complexity, keeping the wine crisp and dry. An easy going yet characterful Rosé made for relaxed, early drinking.

Reviews

92 points. Floral and pretty, with aromas of dried strawberries, citrus blossoms, pastry cream and mandarin rind. The palate is mid-weighted, with good texture and a phenolic grip balanced by bright acidity. A mix of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Drink now. Screw cap. Ryan Montgomery, jamessuckling.com.
