Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2016 Review

Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2016 Review

" This is wonderful in its savoury characters, it smells twiggy and like dried leaves, shows wiffs of game meat and pepper, a barely there dried cranberry and ripe cherry scent. The palate is more of the same, clove and toast, twigs and dried but pleasantly sour fruits, quite a bit of concentration here but a suppleness and very even flow. I found this wine very charming, distinct in its non-fruit characters and wonderful in its volume of perfume and flavour while retaining a sense of elegance. A compelling drink. 94 points.”
